👋 New here? Guernsey’s LGBTQ+ Youth Club is a FREE confidential safe space for queer young people and allies aged 11-18 to meet up, get creative, get involved with events, link up with other youth groups and access dedicated support from LGBTQ+ youth workers.

Liberate is hosting Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) fortnightly on Sundays from 2nd August from 2-5pm at the Hub.

There is a regular group already on the campaign so please get in touch if you’re new as spaces are very limited!

FREE TO ATTEND, 18+

Flynn is our Dungeon Master (DM). The campaign we are using is the beginner-friendly 2024 D&D 5E (not 2014 5E, there are slight differences). No worries if you’re not at all familiar with this!

We have a Whatsapp chat to plan character creation, and so Flynn can explain what to expect and answer any questions.

Liberate is hosting Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) fortnightly on Sundays from 2nd August from 2-5pm at the Hub.

There is a regular group already on the campaign so please get in touch if you’re new as spaces are very limited!

Queer yoga sessions are back in Guernsey for 4 Thursdays in September and October! 🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Find us again in La Villette’s gorgeous, newly refurbished studio space for a good stretch just after Channel Islands Pride – you’ll need it from throwing all those shapes!

Last time we put this on, we ​were asked:

💬 How beginner can you be for Yoga? I’m about as flexible and supple as a brick and I can’t touch my toes!

✅ Can confirm Alice will give multiple options for poses so you can build up flexibility over time. Regardless of mobility or flexibility, you’ll be absolutely fine – we’ll get ya touching those toes! All abilities welcome. Alice will be on hand to give tips, build confidence, and answer any questions!

In 2014, Maia Kobabe, who uses e/em/eir pronouns, thought that a comic of reading statistics would be the last autobiographical comic e would ever write. At the time, it was the only thing e felt comfortable with strangers knowing about em. Now, Gender Queer is here. Maia’s intensely cathartic autobiography charts eir journey of self-identity, which includes the mortification and confusion of adolescent crushes, grappling with how to come out to family and society, bonding with friends over erotic gay fanfiction, and facing the trauma of pap smears.

Started as a way to explain to eir family what it means to be nonbinary and asexual, Gender Queer is more than a personal story: it is a useful and touching guide on gender identity—what it means and how to think about it—for advocates, friends, and humans everywhere.

ABOUT THE BOOK

You can fall in love with an outline, you can even make a home with one, but there will come a time where you can’t deny the bones their flesh. A person is no fewer than two things.

Thirty years old with a lifetime of dysphoria and irritating exes rattling around in her head, Max is plagued by a deep dissatisfaction. Shouldn’t these be the best years of her life? Why doesn’t it feel that way? After taking a spill down the stairs at a New Year’s Eve party, she decides to make some changes. First: a stab at good old-fashioned heteronormativity.

Max thinks she’s found the answer in Vincent. While his corporate colleagues, trad friends, and Chinese parents never pictured their son dating a trans woman, he cares for Max in a way she’d always dismissed as a foolish fantasy. But he is also carrying baggage of his own. When the fall-out of a decades-old entanglement resurfaces, Max must decide what forgiveness really means. Can we be more than our worst mistakes? Is it possible to make peace with the past?

Liberate is hosting Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) fortnightly on Sundays from 2nd August from 2-5pm at the Hub.

There is a regular group already on the campaign so please get in touch if you’re new as spaces are very limited!

FREE TO ATTEND, 18+

Flynn is our Dungeon Master (DM). The campaign we are using is the beginner-friendly 2024 D&D 5E (not 2014 5E, there are slight differences). No worries if you’re not at all familiar with this!

We have a Whatsapp chat to plan character creation, and so Flynn can explain what to expect and answer any questions.

Guernsey’s LGBTQ+ youth club offers fun things to do for queer young people and allies aged 11-18. Young people lead the way for activities they would like to do – if you know anybody who would enjoy coming along, please do spread the word!

Bring friends or come alone, no sign up needed – and if you’re not out, it’s okay! It’s a confidential safe space run in partnership with Liberate and the Youth Commission for Guernsey and Alderney.
