You do not have to be LGBTQ+ to participate. Personal details including names and entries will be kept anonymous upon request. Selected entries will be published by Liberate unless you opt out. 🧡 Entries are limited to one entry per person. Entries will be judged anonymously by an independent panel. 💛 Entrants MUST be Channel Islanders (i.e. born in, currently live in, or have lived in Alderney, Brecqhou, Guernsey, Herm, Jersey, Jethou, and/or Sark). 💚 Entries must be up to 1,000 words with an LGBTQ+ theme.
Adult language is permitted provided it isn’t too explicit. Explicit material may be redacted if published. Liberate reserves the right to decline any entry deemed inappropriate. 💙 Entries must maintain full confidentiality (i.e. please change/omit names or recognisable pseudonyms including your own and those of others, and exclude identifiable personal or sensitive information). 💜 Entries should contain a title, but not your name or pen name on the document. If entries do contain names, they will be anonymised prior to sending to the judges to review. 🤎 Entries must be submitted into an age category: ‘Under 18s’ or ’18 and Over.’ One winner will be selected from each category. 🖤 Each category winner will receive a prize of an £100 voucher or donation. Entrants can request a preferred organisation to receive a voucher for or donate to. Liberate will take all reasonable efforts to obtain the desired prize of winners. For due diligence, Liberate will ensure any named organisation is lawful and legitimate. 💖 The closing date is Tuesday 30 June 2026. Winners will be announced on in at an awards ceremony, date TBC.
