The States of Guernsey vote on same sex marriage is due to take place next Tuesday the 8th, but the Chief Minister has advised that due to the overflow of unfinished business from November’s meeting, it might not even take place.

The LGBTQ community, their friends and family have been very patient so far and it’s been a long road to even get a vote tabled – it’s been nearly 10 years since the States agreed just to look at civil partnerships, let alone equal marriage!
We need as many people as possible to email the States and let the government know that this vote is important, and cannot be delayed without causing damage to Guernsey’s reputation.
You can email all the States deputies at once via bit.ly/emaildeputies – please do so if you can, and ask your friends and families to do the same!
