Equal marriage is due to be debated in the States on 8th December. It’s not too late to let them know your views on the subject.

You may have seen a letter and a large advert in a recent edition of the Guernsey Press from some of the church ministers in Guernsey, expressing their views against marriage equality.
Our view is that marriage is all about a loving relationship and commitment between two consenting adults and should be open to all, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. The results of the recent Consultation – which received one of the highest responses ever – showed that the majority of Guernsey agreed.
Please let your deputies know that, along with 80-90% of Guernsey’s population, you believe in equal marriage and urge them to vote in favour of equal marriage next week.
The Deputies can all be emailed at once via Deputies2012All@gov.gg (although please make sure emails remain polite and not confrontational: we’ve every hope that the States will choose to be on the right side of history.)
