Channel Islands Pride 2016, a week of celebration, will launch on 10 Sept 2016 in the Island of Guernsey and close on the Island of Jersey on 17 Sept 2016.

Please join us for the start of Channel Islands Pride Week 2016! Guernsey’s first ever Pride Parade will wind its way from Candie Gardens to Market Square where an afternoon of entertainment awaits!
The event is free but we would like to be able to gauge attendance if possible – so please head over to our event on Eventbrite to let us know you’re coming. As a thank you for using Eventbrite, your ticket will entitle you to a buy-one-get-one-free deal! Present this ticket at the bar at Symposium in Market Square and you will receive a FREE drink with the first drink you order.
We encourage everyone to come along and show their support for the LGBTQ community of Guernsey. If you are LGBTQ or know and love anyone who is please come and join use for what is sure to be a colourful, fun parade, and a day full of entertainment for all the family.
Join us for the start at Candie Gardens – feel free to bring a picnic – and enjoy the live entertainment from 2PM.
Our Parade will leave at 3.30pm and end in Market Square where we will have live performances by:

Space Pirates of Rocquaine
‘Dolly Parton’ Tribute act – Paula Randell
Kitty Brucknell – one of the X-Factors most memorable contestants
Official Pride DJ – Dean Jones, direct from Manchester’s Gay Village, will be spinning the decks in between the acts to keep you entertained.
Along with ‘Fairy-land’, Body & Pole, multiple different stalls, various food options and lots of children’s entertainment, we are also delighted to be working with the Guernsey Photography Festival, whose world renowned visiting photographers will be documenting this momentous day.

Programme
2pm – picnic in Candie Gardens with live music, face painters and balloon artists
3.30pm – Parade leaves Candie Gardens and makes its way to Market Square via the OGH, down Smith Street and onto the High Street before leading into Market Square.
4.30pm – The party begins in Market Square with live music, entertainment, ‘Fairy’land photgraphy sessions, Body & Pole dancing lessons, a photography exhibition and treasure hunt for the children!
5pm – Buffalo Huddleston
6pm – Space Pirates of Rocquaine
7pm – Dolly Parton Tribute Act
8pm – Kitty Brucknell
9pm – end
